“I recently painted some compositions of my Mam and me doing the shopping (going for the messages as we say in the west of Scotland).

This mother and child arrangement seems to have captured the imagination and the emotions of many of my collectors.

So here's a pencil drawing of the same sort of situation, me and my Mam heading home with shopping bags full of daily groceries - it was a special time for me, and I hope it was for her too?"
