North Sea Sunset is an original oil painting by Alexander Millar.

"When painting scenes of the North Sea, I've occasionally seen drilling rigs offshore.

Despite the huge scale of these vessels, I'm struck by how the vastness of the North Sea can make these rigs seem small.

And I'm impressed by the skill of the men and women who work on these little man-made slands of humanity on our oceans and seas."
