"Isn't it strange how the pattern of the working week has changed in the last 60 years?

Monday to Fridays for hard work, with maybe the chance of overtime on a Saturday morning.

Saturday night at the pictures, the pub, the dancing or the social club.

Sundays as a day of rest.

And that brought us back to Monday again and the start the working week and the household chores starting with the washing!"
