"Have you noticed how often they are re-running the old Morecambe & Wise shows on telly?

It relates back to a time when we, as a nation, would gather round our TVs on a Saturday night or on Christmas Day to watch these comedy sketches.

You might say it reminds us of an era when things were simpler, but it was during tough times of Three-Day weeks and power cuts.

I painted a similar scene a few years back, and the limited edition prints sold out immediately, so I've now painted an alternative version at a time when we all need what Eric and Ernie offered and are asking for in the song:
