"Toon Army is the affectionate nickname given to Newcastle United Football Club supporters.  Nowdays there are many versions of the 'magpies' football shirt but my painting here sticks to the traditional colours (and the even more traditional football rattles).

Our gallery in Newcastle is on Grey Street, so on home match days we experience the buzz of excitement in the city centre - before, during and after the match."
