"Going for the messages is a term only found in Scotland. It means doing the daily shop or going to buy groceries.

When I was a lad, I would be roped into this chore, especially on a Saturday, but I also loved those special times with my Mam - especially when I was praised for being such a help!"

That's Ma Boy original oil painting - one of my 'Little Gems' - is on a smaller scale than my usual artworks - and I'm really pleased how the larger frame adds to the impact of the painting."
