"Roses Grow on You is the slogan used in an old TV ad for a tin of chocolates of the same name.

Back in the day, it would be a huge luxury to have these sweets in the house- and like my Mam receiving flowers - only on very special occasions.

I'm not trying to look back to the 60's and 70's with 'rose tinted glasses' but I do think we valued these very rare treats so much more back then."
