“For a while my Dad worked for Red Star Parcels which was British Rail's service that used the passenger trains to move parcels, in the freight van. 

I thought it was very exciting but I'm sure the parcels weren't as exciting as the ones I've drawn here”

This original pencil drawing is in a dark brown, black ‘charcoal’ look frame with a burnished gold slip and is available to view in our Newcastle gallery.
