“When my Mam and Dad were planning a day out to the coast, you’d think that because money was a bit tight that they would budget everything to the penny.

But when I asked if my cousin or one of my pals could come along, my wish was rarely refused.

I suppose an extra ice cream, balloon or a toy windmill would hardly blow the budget!”
