My Father's Day

My Father's Day is an original oil painting by Alexander Millar.

"This figure reminds me of another well-known Scottish artist (who will remain nameless) but also of a typical dad from my era of growing up.

He's bit of a mixture of the father figures of me and many of my pals - but not one in particular. Not too talkative and a bit of an authority figure who also had his lighter side!"
