'Ayrshire born and bred, I didn't really understand just how big was the rivalry between Glasgow's two major football teams until I started as an apprentice in the city way back when!

Differences aside, there is more in common with the Old Firm fans than many would care to admit. Each with a football ground in the parts of the city where Glasgow's industrial powerhouse once flourished, a multi-generational passion for their teams - and for most fans an ability to take the defeats (as well as the victories) in their stride.

Hopefully my original drawing of a fan and his wee dog heading to the game brings a bit of humour into what can be a very serious business."'
