Changing Skies, Ailsa Craig is an original oil painting by Alexander Millar.

"Back in the day, Ailsa Craig was known as Paddy's Milestone - a poignant reference to Irish and Scottish workers and who had to move back-and-forth between Scotland and Ireland in search of jobs.

The steamers from Irish ports would sail right up the Clyde to the heart of industrial Glasgow, so the volcanic island called Ailsa Craig was considered a halfway marker."

Changing Skies, Ailsa Craig is in a dramatic, black frame and can be viewed in our Glasgow Gallery.
