The Road Less Traveled is an original, box canvas oil painting by Alexander Millar.

This large, unframed, box canvas, oil painting reminds the viewer of the industrial landscape of cities in the 1950s and 60s.

Alexander Millar's signature character, the 'gadgie', is seen heading from, or heading to, his workplace, before or after a nightshift - when the streets are deserted.

While the environment around this working man is harsh, the colours in the sky bring a warmth to the composition and dust the streets and the buildings with magical hues.

The Road Less Traveled is available to view in our Newcastle Gallery. For further information please email: info@alexandermillar.com .
