"My good friend (and Sales Director at Alexander Millar Fine Art) Billy Couper, introduced me to a woman who I’m now proud to call my friend - Regina Wilson, who is the president of the Vulcan Society in the FDNY.

When Regina found out that a Scot wanted to highlight the courage shown not only by male firefighters but also by female firefighters she told Billy  “it takes a Scotsman from across the Atlantic to see, and to highlight, the efforts of me and my fellow women firefighters”.

The painting is of Tracy Lewis who I had the honor to meet at the New York City Fire Museum exhibition on the opening night. "
