Every golfer I know cut his or her teeth on the local pitch and putt course and I personally would spend a huge amount of time at the one in Kilmarnock.
I always remember the smell of the place first when I think back to those times. Freshly cut grass always reminds me of walking along to the pitch and putt, and beeswax and polish is the unforgettable smell of the clubhouse of the golf course.
After we finished our round dad would treat us to an ice cream, happy days!
