"I've painted a number of scenes of the dramatic North Sea coast at all times of year.

And I love the way that gaps in the clouds will suddenly throw a spot to two of sunlight onto some distant feature like Bamburgh Castle or Lindisfrane.

It's a seascape that I never tire of.
