“A rare day out at the seaside or the ‘Shows’ (the local term for the Fun Fair), and this wee boy felt like “King for the Day”.
It made me think how small our world was back then, never travelling much more than 20 to 30 miles for home So I’ve used a reduced scale, working with finer brushes in more delicate detail on this painting.”
King For The Day is in a dramatic, oversized black frame with a pewter slip.
