"This painting is a later addition to my Youth and Young Manhood portfolio, and is strongly influenced by the TV drama series Peaky Blinders.

I've always loved painting wool and tweed, that was prevalent in the dress code of the 1920's and 1930's.

And I wanted  to convey the determination of the character as he strode through a wintery landscape, merely hinted at here."
