"Although I was born and grew up in Scotland, Newcastle/Gateshead has been my home for over thirty years.
The River Tyne that seperates Gateshead and Newcastle has fascinated me from the day I arrived here. The Tyne was once at the heart of the industrial powerhouse that made the North East and it's magnificent bridges make it like nowhere else.
As an artist, I'm drawn to the way the sunrises and the sunsets light up the bridges, making it a different landscape everyday of the year."
