King of the Castle, a rare framed Giclee print on canvas and mounted on board, is from Alexander Millar's private archive.
It was produced in very limited numbers for Alexander Millar's 'Working Man' exhibition at Scotland Street School Museum in Glasgow as part of the Homecoming Scotland celebrations in 2014.
"The tenement back-courts of many a Scottish city were the playground for generations of kids - who would play outdoors until it got dark and were then called in by watchful grannies, mams, aunties and neighbours.
Wash houses became forts, bin lids became shields and and the surrounding tenements were cliff faces and castle walls.""
King of the Castle is in a dark brown/black, mottled wood effect frame with a silver slip and can be viewed in our Glasgow gallery or ordered online.
