Freddie - I'm Going Slightly Mad is an original oil painting of Freddie Mercury by Scottish artist Alexander Millar who now lives and works in North East England.

"This was painted a few years back when I was fascinated by how some performers use themselves as a canvas to project different personas.

I'm a great David Bowie fan, partly because he created multiple characters to help him express his art. I think Freddie Mercury did the same, getting into a number of over the top characters to give us some unforgettable performances."

This original painting, freamed in a very dark brown/black with gold detail frame can be viewed in our Newcastle Gallery, email for details.
