Fair Day is a framed, original pencil drawing by Alexander Millar.

"The 'shows' (our local term for the fun fair) would come to the nearby town once or twice a year, and it was a big deal to go there on a Saturday afternoon.

For a wee boy growing up in a quiet Ayrshire village this was sensory overload!

The screams and laughs from the Watzers, the electrical smell and sparks from the bumper cars, the dazzling lights and blaring music all mixed up with the burnt sugar smell of toffee aples and candie floss was over-whelming - but I loved every minute!"
